Be still my heart Kate...

OMG.

Just got an email from Kate Spade (ha! makes it sound like we're friends, which we're not, but maybe we would be if we knew each other) regarding the 2010 calendar and it is TO DIE FOR. Illustrator Bella Foster was commissioned to design it and her watercolors are out of control cute--note to self: must get Bella Foster prints.

So Kate is smart and I can't lift the images from the site, even though I obvi would have given full credit. Here is the image from the email, but please go to katespade.com and look at the images from the planner because they are GORGEOUS!!!

Busy Busy...

Hi Friends!

It's Thursday already--where did the week go? I was off work yesterday and had lots of time to work on some Stella Jane Inc things which was great. If you follow @StellaJaneInc on twitter (which you should!) or if you follow me @ehkinsey you may have seen a little preview of a new product I'm working on.

I also started putting together a Stella Jane blog which will feature new products and accessory trends-can't wait to share it with you when its finished! Although my camera has been found, I still don't have it back in my possession, so once I do, then I can take some more acceptable photos and get things rolling!

In other news, Sister comes home this evening which is great! And tomorrow I'm working with Ashely Brooke for the first time in her new office! Looks like the makings of great weekend...

Halloween party #2 is tomorrow--should we repeat as golfers or do any of you have any brilliant suggestions??

A craft and cry...

OK, so inspired by Always a Northerner's crafty post last week, I made this shirt on Saturday:

Per Always a Northerner's post, the original directions to make your own corsage tee can be found here. Its super easy and when you make one, you'll be super proud of yourself, like me.

On to the tragedy of the weekend: my camera is missing. Went to a Halloween Party and came home without my camera. I've alerted my friends whose house the party was at and they've looked--I'm hoping that they've overlooked it or maybe someone took it thinking it was theirs. But I'm a little nervous because there were lots of people there I didn't know. Consequently, you'll have to put up with iphone quality photos until the camera is found or a new one is purchased. Case in point, here's the only surviving pic of our halloween costume:

The Monogram Swap

Last week I got an email from Lauren at The Monogram Swap and she was looking to get plugged in and find a way to let readers like you know about her new website.

How many times have you purchased a monogrammed item, used it a few times and then moved on to the latest and greatest monogrammed piece? Or maybe as a mom, you have the cutest monogrammed outfit made for your child's birthday party or photo shoot only to retire it immediately after the event. SO, if this applies to you or if you like shopping for monogrammed gifts, you need to head over to the The Monogram Swap.

The Monogram Swap
is a website that allows shoppers to list gently used monogrammed items for sale on their site. Until December 1st you can list your items for FREE!! The best part is you set the price for your item and if it sells you keep all the money (minus a tiny 10% transaction fee). As The Monogram Swap was launched earlier this month, there isn't a ton of inventory on the site, but hopefully as the word spreads, the site will fill with more and more lovely things! So rack your brain and your closet and see if you have anything to put on the site or have anyone you can recommend it to. Think outside the box too, I love finding pretty linens and silver pieces that have been previously monogrammed with someone else's initials for an interesting, almost antique feel.

Hopefully you'll find a few gems and maybe sell a few too ;)

Weekend Recap

Helloooo!

I am in the best mood as it has actually been below 90 in FL this weekend!! It's been in the 60s and 70s during the day and I can't tell you what a relief that is since its been in the 90s for weeks (this is the part where my northeast friends are allowed to hate me.). It was the perfect fall weekend and I got to do some fun things!

Friday was LAS' mom's birthday and she loved my gift!! I got to play Auntie for the night and loved playing with Nate and Raleigh:

Saturday I went for jog in the cool air and tried my hand at some applique (more practice is definitely needed!!) before going to work.

After church Sunday, LAS came over and we went to our local pumpkin patch! We weren't planning on it, but we decided to go and it was SO much fun. We took Miss Stella of course and got some great shots:

Sweet Gift on a Budget

Tomorrow is LAS's mom's birthday. As I racked my brain for a gift, I thought, what does every grandmother love? Pictures of the grandkids! So I took photos of LAS's niece and nephew, turned them to black and white and found affordable frames at TJ Maxx. Here's the finished product:

Hope she likes them!!

Bachelorette Fun!

This past weekend was Ashley's Bachelorette Party and we had a full-on blasty--blast! The party started with a lingerie shower at the MOH's house.

The last gift opened at the shower, was a tape recorder with a message from Charlie for all his Angels ;) The rest of the night was a Charlie's Angels mission complete with 70's outfits, which we played up to the hilt!

(yes. i blurred out the weirdo who was creepin on our photo.)

We stayed the night at a local resort and enjoyed room service the next morning, which was perfection!! It was a great night and I think Ashley had a fantastic time which is all that matters!

{In case you were wondering, we are all wearing Stella Jane headbands!! Worn across our foreheads, they were the best accessory of the night! Can't tell you how many times we were asked by random drunkies : "So, uh, what's with the headbands?" Don't forget to enter my giveaway for your very own SJ headband! }

Monogrammed Gifts

Hello Friends.

I've missed you terribly! I just got through my reader and I'm committed to being a more disciplined blogger next week. Things have been super busy this week--which I know you can all relate to. I've been working at Primrose where we have literally gotten in about 50 boxes in the last week! And I've been working a new project with Ashley at Ashley Brooke Designs. I'm going to hold off telling you all the details just yet, but I'll come back to this, I promise! And today is Miss Ashley's bachelorette party! Woo hoo! Expect a full recap tomorrow or Monday--can't get into the plans just yet because everything we have planned is a surprise!! Ky at Have your Cake and Eat it too, myself and two other friends have been busy planning....

But on to the post....

Like any good auntie, I am continual to bring Nate and Raleigh only the cutest and most personal of gifts. This week I brought them each something they can wear when they go watch Daddy coach football!
Can't wait to see them in these!

Also, courtesy of KP at Summer in Newport I was able to check out Iomoi.com and found a bag I HAVE to ask Santa for...(Lindsey at Sweet Simplicity I think you'll like this too!)

One of these bags:But with this design:
SOO cute, no?

I'm off to watch college gameday and make pumpkin bread before getting ready for tonight's festivities!!
