DIY: Stripes
Finally! Here's the reveal of our dining room stripes. Leveling and taping the stripes was very time consuming and a little challenging, but once we mastered that the painting was a breeze. I used a measurement formula and some tips from a post on Young House Love, all of which were very helpful!

Newlywed Nest Tour
Here's my very first vlog!! It's a super quick look at our living room in our newlywed nest. It's still a work in progress, but I thought you might like to see a sneak peek.

Swoon-Worthy Friday: Holiday Entryways
Don't you love seeing people's outdoor decorations during Christmastime? It's always neat to see how people spruce up their homes and if their style translates from the inside out!
And my mother reminded me that I have been re-miss is blogging about the 'Noles AMAZEBALLS victory over the Gators last Saturday! My heart was so full and eyes may have even gotten a bit misty, as it had been awhile since our Gator victory (I was at the last game in 2003 by the way and I was the lone 'nole in a sea of gators). This weekend its on to Charlotte and matching up with Va Tech in the ACC Championship. I'll be watching--Go Noles!!

Getting Back in the Game & Our Coffee Table
Good morning! Every feel out of your groove? Like you just aren't doing the things you'd like to be doing or normally do? I don't know if it's wedding related, work related, or simply lazy summertime, but lately I have not been doing some of the things I love to do. Like cooking or reading or baking, even my wedding planning has hit a plateau (brides know what I mean, you get to that place where there aren't super urgent tasks to be done). But no more! I am using this back to school, Fall-ish atmosphere in the air to get back at it and become a little more me...first up, baking scones and making a delicious dinner tonight!
In other news, last weekend after a beach trip, I popped into a local antique store and found this delightful surprise:
Readers: our new coffee table, new coffee table: my readers. Now our little diamond in the rough needs some cleaning and a nice piece of glass on top, but once that's done, vintage, uber-fabulous coffee table here we come! Did I mention is was made in the 1800s? ;)

Headboards Part Deux
Hi there!
You may remember my headboards post where I promised that one day when LAS and I had our first place together, it would include a monogrammed headboard. Well now that our first place will be a reality come wedding day, I've been thinking about that headboard.
We are hoping to do our first bit of registering this coming weekend which I am SUPER excited about and I want to have an idea of what the headboard will look like so that we can coordinate the other linens ( I know, I know UBER important things going on here...).
{all stripes would be vertical}
Have a great Monday!!
wedding inspiration: books
You'll have to bear with me, as weddings are on my brain big time! I want our wedding to have a warm, cozy, intimate feel with some southern charm and vintage details (I hate throwing around the word vintage, as it is so overused, but another word escapes me, basically I like stuff that's old). I LOVE old books and you can imagine I was quite inspired by this wedding posted on 100 Layer Cake:
