Imagine my delight when I saw these beauties on The Bride's Guide (you know, Martha's wedding blog)! The colors! The stripes! The swingy, twirly possibilities! LOVE!

Headboards
This may seem silly, but one of the things I know LAS and I will have in our future home is a monogrammed headboard.
Even now, I try to stay on the look out for a great fabric that could be monogrammed and upholstered. Of course, I see this as a great DIY adventure, one I'm sure will one day be documented here, but I digress. A week or so ago I stumbled upon some other great ideas for budget friendly headboards courtesy of Martha, naturally. Here are some of my favorites:
Everyday FOOD
Last week I took my first trip to Home Goods. It was quite the experience and I'm pleased to say I came away with a fantastic cookbook! Everyday FOOD from the Kitchens of Martha Stewart Living.
I spent the night I got it, in bed, perusing its pages, enthralled with the yummy recipes and gorgeous photography! This book is chock-full of really great recipes that are quick and easy (or so it seems, I will report back).

Fall Crafts!
Two of my favorite emails this week came from Martha. One was a craft for a fall garland and the other for the quintessential glittered pumpkins. I know some of you have made your own glittered pumpkins before with great success!
The garland seems pretty easy to make (the close-up photo helps):
"Create a seasonal garland to drape around the doorway using multicolored decorative dried corn.

The garland seems pretty easy to make (the close-up photo helps):
"Create a seasonal garland to drape around the doorway using multicolored decorative dried corn.
Space cobs 6 to 8 inches apart on a length of raffia (available at crafts stores), tying it around each piece where the husk meets the kernels.
The cobs will hang vertically; if you'd like them to be horizontal (as shown in the center of garland), tie the tip of each cob to the husk of the next using floral wire."
Here is the link for the glittered pumpkins. I know other people have featured this craft on their blog before so I decide to show the garland in more detail. The pumpkins are adorable though and I'm def. going to consider making those!

Starting the weekend a little early...
Hi friends!
Tomorrow is the BF's birthday, so I'm heading to New Smyrna Beach today to his family's beach house. Should be a fun couple of days! He didn't want anything for his birthday of course, leaving me to fend for myself. So I took a little inspiration from my lovely bloggers. (Forgive me, because I read this on someone's blog but can't remember exactly who it was. I think it was Mrs. Mojito but I can't find the post! Please let me know so I can give proper credit) I decided to put together a beer basket with twelve different kinds of beer and include a book with info about the different brews! BF is on spring break so I thought it was the perfect occasion for such a gift (pictures to come)
I'll take some pictures as we are going to one of my favorite restaurants tonight to celebrate and they have a beautiful garden perfect for picture taking!
I loved seeing all you lovelies on Martha! I have it TIVO-ed and I watched the first half and saw Mermaid and Kate from Nautical by Nature. I am eager to watch the rest and see who else I can spot :)
I'll be back tomorrow night--until then girls.
