Recipe For The Weekend: Baby Shower




Happy Friday! Tomorrow I'm headed to a baby shower, so I'm planning on sporting some Lilly, drinking a mimosa (or two!), dining on delicious finger sandwiches and oooh-ing and ahhh-ing over teeny tiny clothes.  

And of course, it would be a September Saturday without a little football, so I'll be back in plenty of time to cheer on the Noles! (PS..stay tuned to a re-cap of last week's epic Clemson game and trip to Tallahassee!)

Hand Lettering

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen me practicing calligraphy.  I recently took an online course via I Still Love Calligraphy and am having so much fun experimenting with different lettering styles.

So when Ky asked if I would letter a chalkboard for a shower she was throwing, it was just the kind of practice I was looking for.  Although chalk is very different from ink, I'm thrilled with the way it turned out.  (And with this shot, that Ashley Brooke captured at the shower!)


PS....Does Kyla through an epic shower or what?! Ashley, Kyla, and her Mom through me an amazing shower before LAS and I tied the knot.

Monogrammed Monday: Game Day Chic




I pinned this image awhile ago and while prepping today's post, found a great new (to me) blog in the process.  I love the monogram on this bow because it reads FSU--now if I can just get my own gameday outfit together for this weekend's trip to Tallahassee!

HTB Travels: Charleston


After a family wedding in SC Labor Day weekend, LAS and I headed to the coast to spend a night in Charleston before heading home.  It was a quick trip but full of fabulous sights and delicious food! Everywhere we ate was amazing and while we were there we dined at Magnolia's, Jim 'n Nick's BBQ, and Early Bird Diner.
