Disappointment

I found out this morning that I did not get the job I had been interviewing for. Sad times. I'm sure this means I wasn't supposed to be there but its still disappointing.

I don't mean to be a downer, just wanted to share in case anyone was curious as to what was happening on the job front. The good news is, I don't have to leave Stella at home quite yet :)

Chin up. Something better is waiting around the corner and you'll be SO glad you were available ...

I know the feeling. I was applying for this incredibly competitive job that was a three round interview process.

I flew through round one, and then bombed in round two. I wanted the job SO bad, and no lie I cried when I found out I didn't make it. So discouraging. BUT, in the end I found a job I love even more. Hard to see the light and opportunity after something like that happens.

It will get better! Promise!

I know that feeling really sucks. Think of this as practice. Next time you interview you will be that much better prepared and charming! Try to remember the stats of getting a job - for every 20 resumes you send out you should get one interview and for every three interviews you should get an offer. I know that sounds grim but the fact that you got an interview during this time (an particularly in a competitive field like PR) means you must be a talented individual with marketable qualities!
