Glass Half Full

It's a good thing LAS and I live in a small apartment, because otherwise our kitchen would be overflowing with glassware.  I LOVE drinking glasses...different shapes, colors, textures....I dream of cabinets with glass inserts displaying gobs of tumblers, goblets, & glasses.

Great Grandma Lucille's Lemon Pound Cake

There are few desserts I love more in this world than my great grandmother's lemon pound cake.  It's been a family staple for many, many years and now I'm sharing it with you! So grab your apron and get to baking.

Great Grandma Lucille's Lemon Pound Cake

1 Duncan Hines Lemon Supreme Cake Mix
1 C Apricot Nectar
3/4 C Vegetable Oil
1/2 C Sugar
4 Eggs

Glaze
1 C of powdered sugar
Juice of 1 lemon

Mix cake mix, nectar, oil, and sugar together.  Add eggs one at a time.  Bake in a bundt pan for 1 hour at 325.  Prepare the glaze.  Allow cake to cool a bit, but poor glaze over cake while it's still warm.

Monogrammed Monday: Rope Swing

How amazingly heirloom-ish (new word!) is this?! I imagine this was lovingly handmade by a rather crafty grandfather, don't you?

ETA: Thanks to Rachel, for passing along the original Etsy listing for the swing! Source problem solved.

Target Run

I went to Target today against my better judgement and it was all I could do to make it out alive.  There were so many great things!  I picked up that green dress for an upcoming wedding, that I plan to dress up with some big baubles and summery wedges, some fancy soap for our guest bath from J.R. Watkins and some headbands similar to these, which everyone is talking about.  I'm lusting over those Webster for Target flats and the Privet House placemats....you know how I feel about burlap.
